The Garrecht VT-01 Ultracompact Mode S Transponder

The Ultracompact is a single unit transponder that mounts in a standard 57 mm panel cut-out.  It includes an integrated altitude encoder.

The Ultracompact measures 61.5 x 61.5 x 170 mm and has a mass of only 570 grams.  It is designed for low-power applications drawing only 0.25 Amp continuous with a max draw of 0.45 Amp.

RS-232 GPS input is available to feed an ADS-B out signal.

Classes are defined by altitude and speed as follows

class 1: 250 W, up to 35000 ft, ≤ 250 kt
class 2: 150 W, up to 15000 ft, ≤ 175 kt
